Statement from ABB Optical Group on Updated Payment Terms and Policies
Coral Springs, Fla. (March 30, 2020) – As ABB Optical Group looks to help customers during this time of economic uncertainty, the company has implemented the following billing and payment terms on a temporary basis:
- The end of the first quarter was moved up to occur Friday, March 27. Purchases made after the end-of-quarter will be included in April statements.
- Independent ECP customers* will have an additional 30 days from the normal due date on purchases made in the month of March on Bausch + Lomb and CooperVision products.
- For the month of April, independent ECP customers* will have an additional 30 days from the normal due date on all Alcon, Bausch + Lomb and CooperVision soft contact lens product purchases.
We will be actively evaluating the duration of these temporary changes to our terms.
In addition to updated payment terms, we will be implementing changes to our shipping policies. Effective March 30, ship-to-patient orders will be prioritized to ensure patients receive their products as quickly as possible, while minimizing COVID-19 risk to ABB employees. As a result, orders that are not shipped via UPS Mail Innovations or USPS will be processed the following business day. For example, if you place a ship-to-office order that is normally handled by a local courier on March 31 that order will be processed and shipped on April 1.
